Punta Ala

Punta Ala is a small hamlet, located between the town of Follonica and the city of Grosseto, precisely on the state road 322.

It is presented as a young and modern seaside resort, characterized mostly by its equipped tourist port.

The port area just mentioned has numerous services and interesting activities and attractions both for the citizens themselves and for tourists; moreover, the whole area is surrounded by numerous 60s-style residences that enrich and color the entire provincial road.

The greatest tradition of Punta Ala is sailing, it is in fact the headquarters of the “Yacht Club Punta Ala”, founded in 1976.

The small village of Punta Ala has also played a key role in the “Luna Rossa” project, an all-Italian boat that participated in 4 editions of the Louis Vuitton Cup and the “American Cup” in 2000.

But beyond sailing, the village is also known for having one of the largest golf field in the entire province, the headquarters of the Punta Ala Golf Club, founded in 1964 and the Libero Punta Ala football club.
